I have heard ginger tea will induce a period. I'm getting panicky as mine is three days late. Does this work? And does it have to be fresh or can it be from a tea bag? If so, how much should I drink a day? I had two cups today (two tea bags steeped). Thank you. X.
Ginger tea DOES help induce menstruation – it isn't an old wives tale.
Ginger helps with inducing menstruation and is used in herbal abortion because causes uterine contractions, but ginger is known as a 'helper herb' in that it can help but it is best when used in conjunction with another herb or another method. Ginger or parsley tea (parsley softens cervix) are the most common methods used for inducing menstruation, both work well with vitamin C which starves the uterus of progesterone to help induce menstruation, it also helps to have warm baths or masturbate too.
If using ginger alone then ideally you should use ginger root as a tincture (1-4 drops 4-6 times daily) or decoction (2-4 tablespoons 4-6 times per day). If using tea it's best to make from the fresh root (fresh is always best) and boil in water for 20 minutes, and then drink at least 4 times per day, but avoid drinking before bed as it's a stimulating herb. Honestly parsley tea and vitamin C is a better option.
Herbs for delayed menstruation – Http://www.sisterzeus.com/delayedmen.htm
It's best just to let your period show up when it's due – as long as your period falls within 7 days of your average cycle length it is not late, even if it is late it's not necessarily a problem. Your body is not a machine so your menstrual cycles will thus not always be the same length, your period thus may not be late at all as it may just be that you ovulated three days later than normal.
How to make sure your period is never "late" – Http://menstruationresearch.org/2012/11/…
The only real time when a late period is a concern is when pregnancy is a possibility – if pregnancy is a possibility then you can't use any means of inducing your period as they may cause miscarriage or lead to you giving birth to a child with disabilities or deformities. To stress this to you again;
DO NOT USE THIS IF THERE IS A CHANCE YOU MAY BE PREGNANT.
I had some roots extracted and was told by the dentist to avoid smoking for 2 weeks. This seemed a little extreme as last time they told me a couple of days. I have looked online and am getting different answers everywhere I look. Can you guys share some personal experiences and guidance so I can get a good idea of the general time length.
I would just like to add, this was not my usual dentist and was the first time seeing this dentist so they did not really know me.
I was always told a couple days. I would quit for two or three days Then for about a week after that I would apply a wet tea bag over the area When I wanted to have a smoke.
