Also tell about the side effects of such medicine.

Does drinking warm water evry 2 hrs make you loose weight?

A friend said i can loose about 7 kgs a month by doing this.

Warm water after main meals help food to remain in normal bady temprature.
In fact water, alcohol & fat do not require to be digested and go through over digestive system, scientifically you will have to learn to digest fat.
Best diet is :
1. Heavy breakfast (not the quantity but quality). When we sleep after approx. 90 min. After our pitiutry gland starts sending growth hormones these hormones go to other glands i.e. Thyroid, thymus and these other glands start sending thier own hormones, all the repair work takes place and lot of vitamins & protiens, minerals are spent in this process. Break fast is breaking a long fast after spending body's stored power, it is very important to have a extreemely good breakfast of quality things just as milk, honey, nuts, amla, ashwagandha etc.
2. Do not take anything wich contains artificial color, preservatives or carbonated drinks as we require oxygen not carbon dioxide.
3. Newer skip meals. Gas trouble has only two reasons a) undigested food b) empty stomach for long time.
4. Eat on time, never change eating time every day.
5. Give 4 hrs. Gap after having food to other food i.e. If taken breakfast do not eat even 1 buiscuit for 4 hrs., after lunch nothing for 4 hrs.
Tea/coffee/lime water etc. Are allowed.
6. Never eat non seasonal fruits or vegetables as God has given us when we require in a particular season, i.e. Apples are very good for fat loss but in summer they will produce acidity, mangoes are very good in summer but are acidic in winters.
Ayurveda teaches – Ahaar & Vihar (Naturopathy) which is the first part of Ayurveda. Even if you have been good at first and even then got desease then medicine and even after medicine you are not cured, Shastra Kriya (operation).
Just ask if you want any other scientific reasons of any of your problem.

Other advices:

1.Do breathing exercise in the morning for 5 minutes to increase oxygen in your body {with less oxygen fat cannot convert into glucose & burn}
2.Brisk walk in the evening {if you can} because you have collected calories by eating breakfast & lunch evening is the right time to burn them.
3.Never skip meals as this creates Vayu {air} in the stomach and by skipping meals you also lose fat processing minerals like Iron, Iodine, Selenium & calcium & B vitamins.
4.Give strictly 4 hour gap in eating i.e. After breakfast give at least 4 hour gap in taking lunch nothing in between & fruits in the evening {apples are too good for fat loss} and straight dinner after that.
5.Avoid sugar, ice creams, fine floor, fried food and food which contain preservatives, as much possible.
6.Avoid sleeping in the afternoon after meals.
7.Avoid stress {the main reason of thyroid disorders, neuro-disorders, cardio disorders & digestive disorders}. Think positive because you always have choice.
8.Avoid pain killers as they are bad for liver & kidneys to avoid water retention.
9.Avoid constipation. Almost 80% overweight people suffer from constipation and it is the biggest reason you do not lose weight the main reason is you re-absorb the digested fat & water from the large intestine. However do not take laxatives without medical advice.

Ashwagandha dried roots extract boiled in water for weight loss?

I hav put on weight because of i have started drinking water of dried ashwagandha roots boiled in water for weight loss..this is combined with daily 20mins walk.will this help me loss weight??

Ashwagandha is often touted as the Indian version of ginseng because, like ginseng, ashwagandha is revered as a non-specific tonic and adaptogen. Adaptogens are important in cases of ongoing, chronic stress. Ashwagandha root rejuvenates without being over stimulating, so is more useful than ginseng in weakened and debilitated persons. 3

Ashwagandhas acts as a mild sedative, and as indicated by its botanical name somnifera, it promotes restful, deep sleep. Ayurvedic medicine has used ashwaganda as a general tonic for centuries and this herb may be just the thing for today's stressed and burned out populace. 1

One of the chemically active ingredients found in the leaves of ashwagandha is withanolides. These phytochemicals appear to have a steroid like effect, meaning that they indirectly increase activity of steroidal hormones like testosterone and progesterone. Because of testosterone's effect on sex drive, this could be what is behind ashwagandha's purported aphrodisiac effects. Withanolide D has shown antibiotic and antitumor activities as well.3

Ashwagandha also relaxes blood vessels and stimulates circulation and has an anti-inflammatory and tonic effect in rheumatic and autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. Animal studies have found that naturally occurring steroids in ashwaganda are more potent than treatment with the synthetic steroid hydrocortisone for controlling inflammation. Ashwagandha is also used in the treatment of low back pain and sciatica. 1
