In today’s competitive world, the intellectual strength is very much important than physical strength. But physical strength, stamina and immunity are also equally important. CLEVEROL contains two herbal ingredients, Brahmi & Shankhapushpi, for improving the 3-fold activity (grasping, storing and memory recall) of the brain, hence improving the overall intellectual performance of your child. Other two ingredients, Shatavari and Ashwagandha speed up physical strength and immunity. Further, it is so delicious that children just love to drink it. Instead of tea or coffee, CLEVEROL is an ideal choice for school children (from 6 years to 16 years) as a daily health drink.

I've heard of this herb called Ashwagandha that is used in Ayurveda, which is the traditional medicine system of India. I've heard it has a lot of positive health benefits, although I don't know what those benefits are.
I have three question A.) Does Ashwaganda really work B.) Is Ashwagandha generally safe to use, and does it interact with certain medications and C.) what are the main benefits of using it?
The reason I ask about medication interactions is because I take medication for O.C.D.
I'm looking for answers from people who are knowledgeable about Ashwagandha, or people who have taken it. I will give ten points to whoever answers all three parts of my question thoroughly and accurately. Thanks!
Ashwagandha is what's called an adaptogen, which basically helps how your body deals with stress.
A) Yes, it does help with stress (which can impact mood, sexual function, and many other things) and immune system support… If that's the benefits you're expecting, then yes, it "works", but I've seen some pretty wild claims made by some people/companies online or in spam that make some herbs sound like wonder drugs that'll cure everything that ails you. 😉
B) Yes, it is generally safe and there are many people who take it with great success. The only warning on it is the common statement not to use if you're pregnant or nursing. Medications are another story, though… There are many drugs that can interact negatively with a variety of otherwise safe things (I've actually seen a drug that says not to take Vitamin C while on it). Your best bet is to check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any new supplement if you're taking any drugs as they both have access to a database of drug and supplement interactions.
C) As mentioned above, stress and the immune system.
I can honestly say I've never heard of anyone using it to treat OCD, but it's theoretically possible it may help (especially if the OCD gets worse when you're stressed). As long as your doctor or pharmacist says it's safe to take with your medications, I'd say give it a shot… Worst case scenario, it'll cost you $5 for a small bottle of something that may do exactly what you need it to or may not work. Good luck and I hope I helped!
